Social Entrepreneurship Hot in September

ENTREPRENEURIAL PATHFINDER

The National Center for Social Entrepreneurs(NCSE) invites you to join us on September 15th and 16th for Entrepreneurial PathFinder™, at the Nashville Goodwill Career Solutions Center at 10th and Herman.

Through your PathFinder experience, you will learn how to select the best ideas to help your organization generate unrestricted revenue and amplify your mission results.
NCSE counselors have decades of experience helping organizations like yours transition to more sustainable models through innovation and entrepreneurship.

The PathFinder experience includes:

  • Two days of hands-on programming where you’ll learn from your peers and expert counselors how to screen and prioritize your ideas, and to identify those entrepreneurial opportunities that are the best fit for your organization.
  • Tools, templates and access to the NCSE’s Fellows Academy™, a network of social enterprise veterans sharing resources, connections and experiences.
  • Team exercises that will help you to refine your best concept and develop a Snapshot Business Plan, for immediate implementation and as a showcase for donors and investor.

BELMONT SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP SPEAKER SERIES

On Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Kevin D. Moore will be the keynote speaker at the kickoff of the Fall 2011 Social Entrepreneurship Speaker Series at Belmont University in the Massey Boardroom.  Have lunch on us and hear Kevin D. Monroe, Founder & Managing Partner of X-Factor Consulting.  The reduced availability of funding and a stalled economy have impacted organizations and programs of all sizes. Unfortunately, these issues make it difficult to obtain funding for new programs or continue providing valuable programs that communities and clients have come to count on – making sustainability planning even more urgent.

Please RSVP by September 9, 2011 to Jasmine Taylor at (615)460-6559 or email jasmine.taylor@belmont.edu

I attended this event as a volunteer with the Tennessee Kidney Foundation and found it very worthwhile. The leadership was great and the opportunity to see like minded people in action was very encouraging.
