Tennessee Women’s Theater Project to Appear on NPT

CNM member, Tennessee Women’s Theater Project is scheduled to appear on Nashville Public Television’s Arts Break later this month. You can view the portion of the program that features TWTP, now on YouTube, by clicking here.

TWTP is a professional, nonprofit theater company with a special focus on women. They seek to address the problems of gender inequity and gender discrimination through role parity for women as well as training and education in areas of professional theater that are currently male-dominated. TWTP is committed to the highest artistic standards in professional theater. Because they believe that theater is a stakeholder in the community, TWTP works with other organizations to improve the lives of at-risk women in Middle Tennessee.

TWTP’s annual festival, “Women’s Work 2008″ will showcase the talents of creative women in 11 different programs May 9 through May 25, at Nashville’s Z. Alexander Looby Theatre. Click here for more information.
